Why microalgae?

Microalgae produce two-thirds of the oxygen we inhale daily and are the first link in the oceanfood chain.
Rich in amino acids, peptides, sugars, lipids, provitamin A, vitamins B, H and C, oligo-elements and mineral salts, microalgae offer a potentially infinite diversity of benefits for the skin.
With their power to hydrate, nourish, protect and regenerate, it's no wonder that microalgae are our favourite focus in our studies.

As the distant ancestors of all living cells, including skin cells, we firmly believe in that microalgae have a natural affinity with our skin.

At the Eclosarium, microalgae are cultivated in controlled, yet natural conditions.
Filtered sea water with a mineral content, specific lighting and temperature are key essentials for harnessing the full potential of these powerful single cells.
While we draw our inspiration from the environment, composition and adaptability of microalgae to identify an active ingredient, it is through testing various culture methods that we can optimise the benefits of its formulae.
